INSURANCE PROGRAM

OAMPS is the country’s largest and most successful Australian-born and bred insurance broker.  We have 25 offices located throughout Australia including Brisbane, Cairns and Townsville.  The OAMPS Sport & Leisure Insurance team have been arranging unique and affordable insurance programs for National, State, Regional and local sporting organisations for over 25 years.  Our team consists of 8 staff dedicated to looking after the insurance, claims and risk management needs of our clients. 

OAMPS works alongside its clients to improve all aspects of physical, legal and financial safety.  This involves the development of specific risk protection programs that avoid the common insurance industry approach - the approach that often sees the acceptance of inadequate "off the shelf" products instead of more sophisticated solutions geared to the requirements of each individual business.

Traditionally small sporting organisations have suffered from a lack of insurers prepared to write insurance for their activities.  Where cover has been available the choice of benefits and policy wordings have been of poor quality with a lack of options available.

We have developed a unique insurance package (Liability, Personal Accident & Management Liability) for Fishing Clubs & Associations that provides the flexibility of cover types, sums insured and excesses.

Does your current insurance program:

  • Have an excess for Liability claims?
    Small sporting organisations can’t afford to pay $500 or $1,000 towards the cost of a claim.  That’s why our unique package is designed with a Nil excess on all liability claims.
     
  • Have an aggregate limit for Liability claims?
    Traditionally if you take out your own liability insurance policy for say $10,000,000 sum insured you would have that amount for your organisation.  Sometimes under a National or State Program where hundreds of organisations are insured the program still only has a sum insured of say $10,000,000 which is limited to all claims (aggregate).  That would mean if 1 insured club had a claim for say $10,000,000 the sum insured would have been exhausted and all of the other participants of the program could possibly have no cover in the event of a claim!  Our unique program is designed with no limit to the number of Public Liability claims that can be made under the policy.
     
  • Only provide a low % of reimbursement for Non Medicare Medical expenses?
    Many policies only cover 75% or in some cases only 50%! of a members claim.  Our unique package is designed to provide 85% reimbursement to members.
     
  • Not allow you the option for Loss of Income Insurance?
    In an effort to reduce cost many programs remove the loss of income benefit.  Our program is designed so that even the smallest club can participate and still have the option to tailor benefits to their own members needs.
