We are pleased to present this quick guide to the 2007 Harness Racing NSW Insurance Program.

The purpose of this quick guide is to provide an overview of some of the main covers of the policies as well as instructions on how to make a claim.  For full details of cover please refer to the policy documents available on www.oampslaser.com.au or call OAMPS on 1800 SPORT 1 (1800 776 781).

The cover provided is not “comprehensive” and as such we encourage all participants to take out Private Health, Life and Income Protection Insurance according to their own individual needs and circumstances.  It is an individual’s responsibility to ensure that he/she has adequate insurance cover for his/her needs.

We wish all participants a safe and enjoyable 2007-08 Harness Racing NSW season.

NAME OF INSURED:

Harness Racing NSW South Wales, including affiliated bodies, regional associations and Clubs And/or subsidiary and/or related corporations as defined under Australian Corporations Law and /or financiers and all parties for whom the Insured undertakes to insure for their respective rights, interests, inter‑relationships and liabilities.

BENEFICIARIES:

Licensed Trainers, Drivers, Stable Hands (Voluntary Workers only) of Harness Racing New South Wales including licensed visitors.

PERIOD OF INSURANCE:

From 4:00pm 1 September 2007 to 4:00pm 30 June 2008.

DESCRIPTION OF BUSINESS:

Principally but not limited to the management of the Australian Harness Racing Industry, including Racing, Trialling and Training of Harness Racing Standard Bred Horses by licensed Drivers, Trainers and Stable hands, State Controlling Bodies, Registered Club’s operations in respect of any Harness Racing business including, but not limited to:

Operators of Raceways, Managers, Promoters and Organisers of Harness Racing in Australia; property owners; totalisator operations; and including all associated activities undertaken by the insured.

SCOPE OF COVER:

Covering all registered licensees (Trainers, Drivers & Voluntary Stable hands where nominated by state) anywhere in the world whilst participating in any recognised and sanctioned activity directly associated with the sport of harness racing, including necessary travel to and from such activities.
