There are a number of
good reasons for coaches to develop a good understanding of their
legal responsibility or have risk management procedures in
place. The main three are:
- To reduce the risk
of litigation:
- to become better
coaches by being more aware of safety rules: and
- to protect athletes
and self by continually upgrading the risk management program
Knowledge, preparation
and prevention are the most important factors of coaches in protecting
themselves against a law suit.
