DEVELOPMENTS IN IEA SPORT

An earlier "Safer Sports" Newsletter outlined IEA's value added service of risk management.  In addition to that development IEA has further extended its sports insurance services.

In association with the sport's board of management, IEA works through the risk management process, including identification, analysis, assessment and treatment of risk, to design an appropriate risk program for that particular sport.  Part of risk treatment will include identification of the types of insurance required to provide the safety net to the program.  Then, through our broking company, IEA (Brokers) Pty Ltd, we search the insurance market for the most appropriate cover for each organisation, be it a small country club to teams and athletes competing professionally around the world.  IEA claims administration assistance is included as part of the service.

This means that from the sports' perspective, they are managing their risks effectively and are receiving insurance cover which is designed to provide protection on their particular risk exposures.  Their insurance cover is being provided at the most cost effective price available in the market place, obviously taking into account items such as the security of the insurer, claims paying ability etc.
