Prevention Before Cure ...
Non-Accredited
or Insufficiently Trained Coaches/Instructions. If the
inappropriate actions of a coach or instructor lead to the injury of a
participant there is the likelihood for litigation claiming breach of
duty of care. The potential for injury resulting from negligence
or improper conduct is immense, and only an educated and trained
person should be providing instruction. There
are many more areas of potential liability. The aim must be to
minimise exposure before accidents happen by becoming proactive in the
day-to-day operations of your sport and you will spare yourself, other
officials and your members the heartache of injury, damages and
litigation.
